A deposit into a strategy will adjust the strategy equity amount and affect the strategy in a few key ways:
- Increases the maximum investment amount for future investments. However, the total equity limit of a strategy and all investments in it remains at 500,000 USD.
- Activates an inactive strategy if a strategy provider fulfills the minimum requirements to trade after the deposit.
- Affects the copy ratio (copy coefficient) for current investments. It is automatically recalculated as a ratio of the investment equity to the strategy equity. Open orders are closed and immediately reopened at zero spread with a newly calculated copy ratio to make this calculation as accurate as possible.
- For Social Standard and Social Pro accounts, copy ratio or copy coefficient never increases after the start of an investment, regardless of any deposits or withdrawals on a strategy account. It may only be affected by the end of the trading period as the commission is paid to the strategy provider. This lowers the investor’s equity, and the copy coefficient may decrease.
- For Standard and Pro accounts, the copy coefficient may increase when a strategy provider makes a withdrawal as it depends on the ratio between the strategy provider’s equity and the investor’s equity.
- Deposits do not impact commission calculations, as the equity of investments, not the strategy's equity, is used to calculate the commission.
