As an investor, you only need to pay the performance fee to the strategy provider if you have made profits from copying his strategy in a billing period. If the investment makes losses, you do not pay performance fee until the investment’s profits of the next billing period is more than your loss.

Performance fee is deducted from the investment’s earnings at the end of the billing period.
If you choose to close your investment early, performance fee will be deducted when you stop copying. However, it will only be paid to the strategy provider at the end of the billing period.
