For the investor, maintaining successful copied trades includes having the knowledge of tools, metrics, and strategies available. Similarly, a strategy provider who aims to have their trades copied must have an understanding of what investors look for in strategies.
The strategy page is where an investor can learn more about a particular strategy and the provider of that strategy, and where a strategy provider can showcase their unique strategy in-depth to potential investors.
Open a strategy page:
- Log in to the Social Trading app.
- Scroll through the available strategies presented or filter these strategies based on return and your preferred filters.
- Select a strategy.
On the top of the screen of any strategy, you can favorite and share a strategy; simply tap on the star icon or share icon, respectively.
The Overview tab details a few important elements that an investor would need to consider before investing.
- Return: Return measures the change in equity seen in a specific strategy. It is updated with statistics that calculate the change in a strategy’s equity from the beginning to the end of a specified period of time. The best way to view the return over a certain period of time is to look at the return graph. The return graph shows the cumulative return over time. It shows the percentage of profit or loss in an account's balance for a certain period. This graph provides a transparent way to see how an investor’s strategies have performed historically.
Note: The return is updated roughly once every 20 minutes for strategies with Social Standard and Social Pro accounts and once every hour for Standard and Pro accounts.
-
Risk Score: The risk score reflects the level of risk taken by the strategy provider. The higher the score, the greater the risk and chance of making a profit or a loss more rapidly. The risk scores are as follows:
- Moderate risk: 1-5
- High risk: 6-8
- Extra High risk: 9-10
*Risk score is not available for Standard and Pro accounts.
- Details: Other important information shown here includes the performance fee, minimum investment amount, account type, number of current investors, leverage, and strategy equity in USD.
-
Trading Reliability Level (TRL): The TRL represents how well strategy providers manage their trading risks. The higher the level, the more reliable the strategy provider's trading performance has been. Here’s the breakdown of the levels:
- 0-40: Low score
- 41-70: Medium score
- 71-100: High score
- Description: This section is written by the strategy provider and gives additional insight into the strategy, including the strategy provider’s trading style. The date a strategy was created can also be viewed here.
- Symbols: This shows the percentage of instruments the strategy provider trades.
- About trader: This section also includes information about the strategy provider, including the date when the strategy provider began trading with Exness, their location, and their verification status.
- Billing Period: The Billing period is the set amount of time between performance fee payments and ends on the last Friday of the month between 23:50 UTC+0 and 23:59:59 UTC +0, restarting immediately after.
The statistics tab provides a breakdown of Return and Equity (for Social accounts only). It presents a more in-depth look at the respective metric, with the ability to set a time frame and change the chart type.
The news feed is where the strategy provider communicates with their current and potential investors.
Open and Closed orders are collected in the Orders tab. Tap on an entry to expand the order details.
Start copying
In every tab, you can find the Start Copying button located at the bottom. Tap on it to enter the investor’s desired investment amount. The page displays a range of allowed amounts, starting from a minimum of 10 USD set by the strategy provider.
This information can help an investor determine the perfect strategy that suits their trading style, while the strategy provider can improve and implement these metrics to further promote their strategy.
